Our client is a technology company. They are looking for an Assistant Accounting Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate monthly reconciliation of accounts
- Help with accounts payable analysis, payroll reconciliation, expense report processing, and other accounting-related tasks
- Analyze journal entries in conformity with established procedures
- Evaluate analysis of various balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Distinguish critical issues that must be raised to a higher level for decision making
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure all monthly transactions are properly booked
- Research internal control design concepts and design new processes for emerging and growing business activities
- Create process improvements and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization
- Supervise delivery of accounting tasks and projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Public/combo or SaaS background preferred
- Previous management experience required
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of GL or Sage Intacct required
- CPA or parts passed
