Our client is an insurance company. They are looking for an AVP, Reinsurance to join their Jersey City, NJ office.
Responsibilities
- Lead the corporate reinsurance accounting team in performing close related tasks
- Assist with implementation and review of non-routine reinsurance transactions
- Help the quarterly and annual U.S. Statutory and U.S. GAAP financial reporting’s
- Collaborate with financial controller group and audit on reinsurance transactions
- Handle reinsurance budgeting, forecasting, actuals and other analytics
- Supervise various broad and individual projects, process improvement, and transformation initiatives
- Oversee various levels of internal and external individuals and organizations
- Monitor staff by setting individual and team goals for individual knowledge of reinsurance accounting activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 10+ years of reinsurance accounting experience
- Public, private, combo (big 4) background preferred
- Managerial experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Excel required, Oracle preferred
- CPA certification strongly preferred
