Our client is a non-profit organization. They are looking for a Budget Analyst to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Arrange monthly financial statements, variance reports, and forecasting processes
- Prepare monthly financial statements of multiple programs and variance reports
- Supervise complex financial analysis to develop budgets including RFPs
- Produce grant closeout functions required by contracts administration and sponsors
- Manage program expenses and revenue billings against approved budget
- Monitor all requirements by contracts administration and funders are met during grant closeout process
- Determine the feasibility of RFPs as well as monitor contract performance to the budget
- Partner with program staff to forecast budgets
- Analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program
- Confirm schedules and reconciliations as required for the annual audit
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in accounting required
- 3+ years of grant accounting experience
- Non-profit organization industry required
- Experience with US GAAP required
- Proven ability to prioritize projects and set goals
- Knowledge in Office, advanced Excel required
- Knowledge in Intacct preferred
- CPA certification preferred
