Abacus Group is looking for a Recruiter to join our Contract Recruitment team in our Manhattan, NY office. Our Contract Recruitment team is divided into three verticals: Accounting & Finance; Administrative Support, Human Resources, and Marketing; and Information Technology. The Contract Recruiter is accountable for achieving candidate placement targets, as determined by the company, through activities necessary for high achievement in recruiting and placing individuals in contract positions including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.

Responsibilities
Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates for one of our three contract verticals (Accounting & Finance; Administrative Support, Human Resources, and Marketing; and Information Technology)
Recruit new candidates and prospects for new job orders and requisitions using the internal database and external resources
Establish recruiting plans which include job boards, social networking, and referral sources
Review online job postings daily to identify emerging trends and skill demands
Maintain and document candidate communication
Obtain availability of candidates to interview with clients
Maintain accurate applicant/candidate/employee records in the front-office system
Proactively seek new avenues to engage and attract candidates
Actively participate in professional development events to build a networking database
Establish and maintain relationships with a variety of recruiting sources
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous contract recruiting experience is a plus
Background in a sales/service environment
Sales personality – high energy and motivation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Customer service oriented with a drive to surpass expectations
Demonstrated understanding of the corporate environment
Detail orientation with strong follow-through skills
Ability to prioritize work efficiently and meet deadlines
