Our client is a healthcare technology company. They are looking for a Controller to join their Brooklyn, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee outsourced team, prepare monthly financials, and oversee FP&A and KPI reporting
- Guide financial decisions by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Manage and protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Monitor financial conditions by conducting audits and working with external auditors
- Maximize return and limit risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments
- Calculate budgets by establishing schedules, collecting data, and recommending plans
- Achieve budget objectives by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
- Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
- Draft special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
Requirements
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- BioTech industry background preferred
- Private/combo accounting background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and collaboration skills
- CPA strongly preferred
- Proficient in Excel
