Our client is a financial services firm. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, and deploy DevOps flows to support cloud-native applications
- Liaise with team leadership to create enterprise solutions based on business and technical priorities
- Uphold robust cloud architecture, develop best practices, and adopt new cloud technologies
- Break down complex problems into elegant technical solutions to resolve problems for clients
- Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
- Describe complex technical concepts so they are understandable to non-technical audiences
- Document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 4-7 years of experience working on cloud infrastructure & automation
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and infrastructure
- Experience with architecting, designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications
- Able to collaborate across teams on architecture, features, and problem-solving
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Grasp of software design patterns and effective development methodologies
- Skilled in AWS, Docker, Python, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
