Manager, Financial Reporting & Compliance Permanent

Our client is an insurance company. They are looking for a Manager, Financial Reporting & Compliance to join their White Plains, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Check quarterly financial statement preparation
• Support the financial statement preparation on a statutory basis
• Help the month-end close processes
• Manage financial compliance and regulatory reporting activities
• Oversee the lease accounting process for all entities
• Monitor the bank reconciliation process for all entities
• Lead the general ledger accounting functions
• Analyze and research the general ledger structure
• Review responses to external auditors’ data requests and questions
• Liaise with internal auditors on SOX compliance and internal control testing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 4+ years of financial reporting experience
• Public, private, or combo background preferred
• Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred
• Strong time management skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• CPA certification preferred
