Our client is an investment management firm. They seek a Senior Fund Accountant to join their White Plains, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Assess and review monthly financial statements and work paper packages
- Prepare monthly fund work papers, including hypothetical liquidation
- Produce monthly fund financial statements for real estate funds
- Ensure consistency in accounting and reporting among the various funds
- Calculate quarterly asset management fees and preferred return calculations
- Understand partnership and management agreements and ensure compliance
- Support investor relations by preparing various investor-specific requests
- Help prepare capital contributions from and distribute to investors
- Maintain the records of the real estate funds, including processing payments
- Work with the tax department to maintain tax basis books and work papers
Requirements
- 4+ years of fund accounting experience
- Real estate fund industry background
- Public or private accounting experience
- Hands-on, team player attitude
- Organized with keen attention to detail
- CPA strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
