Software Developer Permanent

Our client is an energy company. They are looking for a Software Developer to join their Stamford, CT office.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with commercial trading teams to re-engineer & optimize trading processes and models
• Evolve cloud-native solutions to promote integration within the framework of an IT platform
• Collaborate with the data science team to create next-generation analytic tools
• Expand software to support commercial activity including supply & demand, positions, and market data analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MBA preferred
• 5+ years of prior professional programming experience
• Experience with DevOps, Containers, Kubernetes, shell scripting, messaging busses preferred
• Working knowledge working with cloud-based technologies (AWS)
• Knowledge of advanced Python or Java experience required
• Proficient with object-oriented programming concepts
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL preferred
