Our client is a real estate company. They are looking for a Staff Accountant to join their El Segundo, CA office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cash receipts cycle, including AR billings and cash collections
- Verify weekly check issuance is being accomplished accurately and timely
- Prepare and post cash receipts on a daily basis for several client operating accounts
- Handle the reconciliation of bank activity to the general ledger on a daily basis
- Maintain collections-related schedules, such as tenant aging reports, client billings, etc.
- Set up banking activity in online portals such as book transfers, ACH, and Wire Transfers
- Carry out the full AP cycle, including invoice/voucher processing and coding verification
- Ensure invoice registers are paid on time, in accordance with contract terms
- Guide clients and team members to follow established invoice payment policies
- Support the process and submission of the annual Form 1099 documents to the IRS
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Previous accounting experience
- Interested in Real Estate accounting
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Advanced technical skills
