Our client is a wholesale company. They are looking for a Staff Accountant to join their Inwood, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Manage distributes of weekly units reports for management
- Perform monthly close including journal entries
- Complete daily invoicing function
- Monitor financial statements and annual external audits
- Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Lead monthly margin reports and work papers
- Implement policies and procedures to create efficiencies
- Handle bank reconciliations as needed
- Support in cash receipts to customer accounts and accounts payable
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
- 1+ years of accounting experience required
- Public, private, or combo background required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Epicor or other ERP software preferred
- Knowledge in advanced Excel
- CPA certification preferred
