Our client is an investment banking firm. They are looking for a VP, Events Management to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute events, including conferences, seminars, and corporate meetings
- Develop a comprehensive events strategy aligned with the firm’s overall goals and objectives
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals
- Supervise members of the events management team and foster a results-driven culture
- Maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance
- Identify potential risks associated with events and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Work with external partners and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on event objectives
- Stay current on events trends, implementing new tools and processes to enhance efficiency
- Complete post-event evaluations and gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Implement crisis management plans, ensuring the ability to handle unexpected challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of events and meeting planning experience
- Financial services industry background
- Able to ideate, create, plan, and execute events
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to build professional relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Cvent
- Ability to travel as needed
