VP, Financial Reporting Permanent

Our client is a banking bank. They are looking for a VP, Financial Reporting to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the SEC and bank regulatory reporting
• Manage earnings releases, investor presentations, and board reports
• Monitor accounting standards, SEC regulations, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Review accounting research on complex accounting and reporting matters
• Support the GAAP checklist and ensure financial statements remain current
• Collaborate closely with external and internal auditors
• Assist SOX 404 compliance requirements and appropriate process for reporting
• Help with the accounting and reporting for stock-based compensation plans

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 6+ years of financial reporting experience
• Financial services industry background required
• Experience with SEC reporting and bank regulatory reporting preferred
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with advanced Excel
• CPA certification preferred
