Our client is a family office firm. They are looking for a Controller to join their Palm Beach, FL office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee review of monthly entries, expense attribution, financial statements, and covenant reporting
- Manage accounting and accounts payable functions across a varied group of entities
- Review processes and procedures to modernize all functions and reporting
- Prepare all manner of management reporting and function as resource for the tax department
- Liaise directly with the COO in managing businesses and personal activities
- Collaborate with tax and legal team to provide monthly accountings and reporting’s
- Work with the investment management team on all manner of accounting and reporting issues
- Handle intercompany loans and related interest payments
- Complete compilation and reporting of budgets in various departments
- Record bank reconciliations on a monthly basis as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 12+ years of accounting experience
- Family office or management industry experience preferred
- Public, private, or combo background required
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of advanced Excel and Great Plains preferred
- CPA certification preferred
