Our client is a consumer goods company. They are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join their Queens, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Handle new hire onboarding and orientations
- Input employees into the ADP system
- Gather information for new hire paperwork
- Coordinate new hire welcome breakfasts
- Assist with on-site wellness programs
- Assess and manage unemployment claims
- Manage FMLA, NYSPFL, and disability requests
- Review Time & Attendance records on ADP
- Carry out employee terminations, following the checklist
- Provide support with benefits claim issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
- 3+ years of human resources experience
- Experience with Time & Attendance
- Knowledge of labor laws and I-9s
- Relevant retail industry knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Skilled in MS Office and ADP
