Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business federal and state income tax returns
- Communicate with clients regarding tax planning strategies and resolve questions
- Oversee the monthly and year-end closing processes for clients
- Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow
- Reconcile complex accounts and review journal entries to ensure accuracy
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reliable service
- Mentor and support junior staff by providing guidance, training, and reviewing their work
- Coordinate multiple client files and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Public accounting experience
- Detail-oriented and highly analytical
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CCH Axcess required
