Senior Property Accountant Permanent

Our client is a real estate firm. They are looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join their Englewood, NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Keep proper accounting functions for the assigned properties
• Research and understand the organizational and financial documents
• Manage AR and AP aging, unapplied cash, bad debt allowance, and cash positions
• Assist in approving accounts payable timely
• Collaborate with the field team to timely resolve receivable and payable issues
• Oversee tenant ledgers in question
• Check commercial lease charges and perform reconciliations
• Monitor activity in capital expenditure accounts
• Notice proper accounting functions for mid-tier holding entities and fund entities
• Complete cash flow between properties and upper tier entities

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Public, private, or combo background preferred
• Previous property accounting experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of advanced Excel required
• Proficient with Salesforce, Yardi preferred
