Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Director to join their Employee Benefit Plans Group in their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the tax department’s employee benefit plans segment
- Develop tax strategies aligned with the overall business goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations related to employee benefit plans
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations affecting benefits
- Build relationships with clients, understanding their business needs
- Serve as the point of contact regarding employee benefits tax matters
- Manage a team of tax professionals specializing in employee benefit plans
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients
- Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and cost savings for clients
- Assess and manage tax-related risks associated with employee benefit plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 10+ years of benefits experience
- Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance, and reporting
- Proven leadership and management skills
- An analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPA required
- Strong Excel skills
