Our client is a prominent accounting and consulting firm. They are looking for an Audit Senior to join their Edison, NJ office.
Responsibilities
- Work with the engagement team to plan the audit objectives and determine a risk-based audit strategy
- Establish expectations of the audit team and the level of services to be delivered
- Manage the audit engagement and oversee competing priorities that may arise
- Provide guidance to audit staff and participate in audit procedures that impact specialized issues
- Pinpoint accounting and audit risks using US GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS, IAS, and PCAOB auditing standards
- Oversee engagement fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely results
- Address client concerns and escalate any issues to the engagement Manager and Partner as they arise
- Understand the client industries and recognize business trends and technical developments
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and identify opportunities for expanded firm services that benefit client
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
- 2+ years of audit experience
- Background with Manufacturing & Distribution clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA required
